In January I decided that I needed to read through the Bible in a year again. I’ve tried before and not succeeded, it took me two years, but I read it all. That time I used a Bible specifically designed for the purpose, dated, divided with Psalms or Proverbs, Old Testament reading and New Testament reading each day. I think I started in Genesis and just read through the Old Testament 3 additional times but couldn’t keep going in the New Testament for some reason.. The Old Testament is harder for me to read. Actually, Revelation is pretty tough reading, too. Anyway, I wanted to try something new this time around and I found this blog entry I’ve attached below. In this time of Lent (yeah, I know I’m a little late for the start of Lent) if you’re thinking of deepening your spiritual daily routine, you might want to try this. I’m trying the ”Read Through the Bible Program for Shirkers and Slackers”.; just seemed to fit me this year.
