Boy, where did this day go? Sorry this greeting is up so late on your day, Dads, but I hope you agree with better late than never. Our grown daughter, an excellent cook, came over and grilled one of her Dad’s favorites; nice thick, juicy steak and served it up with steak fries and salad to complete a fave. Her brother & I chipped in for the groceries so it was from all of us. He’s so hard to shop for. He just doesn’t need more stuff, so this was an excellent gift. Of course, forgetful me didn’t get pictures. I thought of it earlier in the day, too.
Both hubs’ and my dads are gone, but our moms are still here. I made his Mom a pair of rosette ribbon earrings. I did think of taking pictures but since I used a hot glue gun I didn’t think it would work out too well. This was my first attempt and instead of using fabric folded and having frays I know she wouldn’t like, I used 1/2 inch wide grosgrain ribbon folded and glued so it’s all finished and neat. She is one of the world’s last hold outs in the ear piercing department and wears clip-on earrings all the time, even though they’re heavy and uncomfortable. These at least are very lightweight. She liked my coral rosette earrings from Vintage Revival, so she should like these; hope so.
